More Green Less Screen!
Natalie Chivers, Curator of Treborth Botanic Garden adds the first 'green promise'.Could you put down your devices and enjoy nature?
That was the question that Âé¶čAVâs Sustainability Lab and Botanic Garden asked students, staff and the local community last week as part of the UK University communityâs national celebration of Go Green Week.
When you step outside into a green space or give an indoor plant a home it gives you so much - stress relief, clean air, inspiration, relaxation, lushness, beauty, joy. To encourage people to Go Green, âMore Green Less Screenâ promises trees went up all over the University including at the Universityâs Botanic Garden, all four libraries, the International Studentsâ Centre, The Studentsâ Union, and Pontioâs Co-working. Passers-by were asked to write their âMore Green Less Screenâ promise on a leaf or an apple, take a selfie with their promise, share it on social media, then Go Green for the Week!
Bangorâs Go Green Week is part of Âé¶čAVâs , a showcase of the range and variety of sustainability-related events that run in a typical month at Âé¶čAV â a month-long extravaganza of ordinary events!
