Professor Stefan Machura visits the University of East of Finland

Professor Stefan Machura recently visited the University of East of Finland, Joensuu campus with support from the EU鈥檚 Erasmus programme.

There is a longstanding exchange of students and staff between the social science departments at Bangor and Joensuu. This was the third such visit for Professor Machura, who delivered a module on 鈥淐rime and the Law in the Media鈥� to students at the Finish institution.

They were very interested in the topic and took note of crime policies in the UK, as well as of the way the British media report issues of crime. The first and the third session were devoted to an introduction into Hollywood law films and American TV lawyer series.

The Joensuu campus is located in North Carelia Province, amidst stunning Scandinavian landscape. It is comparable to 麻豆AV in terms of the size of both the city and university. Classes are in English, so exchange students from Bangor find lectures and seminars straightforward.
